Steps To Draw Chibi Girl
Here are the brief instructions for today’s drawing tutorial and attach pictures to complete your sketching in an easy process. We already drew the chibi boy in the previous tutorial, now it’s time to draw a chibi girl. Follow the steps given to draw Chibi Girl and by the end of this tutorial, you will learn to draw it perfectly.
Step 1: Draw The Head
Start by drawing an oval shape for the head roughly. This step will help us proceed with our drawing more simply. We prefer to use a pencil as we will erase these rough sketches in further steps.
Step 2: Sketch the Center Body Part
Outline a vertical line from just below the head to represent the neck. Following the line, create a rectangular shape for the body, and draw the parallel lines coming out from the top side to represent legs. We are just sketching the initial reference lines.
Step 3: Outline The Arms
Next, draw two lines from the top sides of the body to represent the arms, with a bend at the elbow.
Step 4: Draw Hair
Then, outline the hair around the head, and make a zigzag shape to show the hairline and volume. On the right side, draw a C-shape connecting to the head of the character to represent the ear.
Step 5: Outline The Hair
Sketch the hair using a black marker, paying close attention to the rough lines you created first. Next, outline the ear with the same marker, making sure to trace its shape and any inside details exactly. We are using a black marker as it gives a dark outline touch to our drawing. You can either use a black marker or pen to outline a fair part.
Step 6: Draw The Shirt
As shown in the picture, follow the rough line and sketch the shirt and the arms we made earlier.
Step 7: Sketch The Pants
Make a half pant by drawing a rectangle shape just below the shirt. Create a fold downward to make it look natural. Then, sketch the leg warmer and shoes as shown in the picture.
Step 8: Remove Outlines
Erase all the extra lines from the sketch carefully. This will help our drawing look neat and clear, allowing us to add more details. We drew those rough lines just for guiding purposes only.
Step 9: Add Details
Now, draw the handkerchief on the chibi girl’s back, ensuring it is visible. Position the bag on the character’s back or side, as shown in the image above. Make the pants look natural and well-fitted, adding cuffs and patterns for realism.
Step 10: Sketch Facial Features
Then, draw an oval shape for the eyes; inside the shape, make a small circle and sketch it to make it look like pupils. Add a slightly curved line to represent the nose. Sketch an open mouth to make the face expressive. Additionally, draw extra lines in the hair and ears to create a natural effect.
Finally, you have completed your sketching. If you are interested in adding a touch of color, follow the guide below. Let’s enjoy coloring as well.
Coloring The Chibi Girl
After completing sketching the character, we added some color to make it more fun. For the coloring part, we have used pencil colors; you can use any of your preferences to make it more fun. We recommend you use pencil colors.
We added a light orange color to the hair. A pink color has been used for the hair clip, the button of the pants, and the eyes. We used a yellow color for the shirt and a darker shade of yellow for the pants and the bag. The blue color is used for the leg warmers.
You can find orange in the shoes and pink in the handkerchief. We have completed our coloring process by adding a light shade of orange for blush.
