Steps to Draw Huggy Wuggy
Here’s a quick preview of our step-by-step guide. Huggy Wuggy’s personality makes him a super fun character to draw. Follow these simple steps to capture his wide smile, big eyes, and signature long limbs. Let’s begin!

Step 1: Sketch the Mouth Base

Begin by drawing a curved, wide “U” shape — like a smiling mouth. Add a small wave inside the bottom part to show the shape of the lips, as shown in the image given.
Step 2: Draw the Outline of the Head

From the shape of the mouth, extend two lines upward to create the sides of the head. The line should be jagged/furry, forming a rough texture for the natural look of the character.
Step 3: Complete the Shape of the Head

Connect the two lines from both sides; make the lines jagged to give them a furry look. This simple step will help us complete the head.
Step 4: Draw the Left Arm

Sketch a long, thin arm on the left side by drawing two slightly curved lines. At the end, add an oval shape that will be used to form the hand later.
Step 5: Sketch the Right Arm

Repeat the previous step to draw the right arm, and mirror it on the opposite side. Keep the same curved shape and add an oval at the end for the hand.
Step 6: Add the Hand and Left Leg

At the end of each arm, draw a rounded mitten-like hand. These hands should look soft and simple, like oversized gloves. Once the hands are in place, sketch the left leg by drawing two straight and fairly thick lines extending down from the bottom of the body.
Step 7: Complete Drawing the Legs

Sketch the right leg to match the left one. Make sure both legs are evenly spaced and similar in thickness and length to keep the body balanced. Next, add simple fingers to both hands by drawing small curves or lines to represent them.
Step 8: Draw the Bow Tie

Just below the head, in the middle of the chest, draw a small bow tie with two loops and little ribbons hanging down.
Step 9: Add the Eyes

Sketch two large, circular eyes above the mouth. Fill them with black and leave small white circles for highlights to make them pop.
Step 10: Sketch the Inner Mouth

Inside the mouth, sketch an oval shape and begin detailing the inner gums as shown in the image given. This will give the character a detailed look.
Step 11: Add the Teeth

Add sharp, pointy teeth across the top and bottom of the mouth. These should be small and closely packed to give him that signature creepy smile.
This will finally complete our drawing process; make sure you have followed each step to get the perfect look. Erase extra or rough lines from your sketch and continue to follow the coloring step we have shared below. We hope you enjoy the sketching process.
