Steps To Draw Tom & Jerry Running
The picture below provides a simple overview of today’s drawing tutorial. This guide is designed for beginners and experienced artists; children can enjoy it fully. Follow the steps carefully below to get it perfect.

Step 1: Sketch The Eras

Start by drawing the ears on the center of your paper, as shown in the picture. Sketch two small, overlapping ovals for the ears. Also, add two small lines pointing outside of Jerry’s hair.
Step 2: Draw The Basic Shape

Continuing with the shape of the ears, draw a curved shape to outline the head. Then, add an oval shape for the mouth area. Sketch straight lines to indicate the shape and direction of an arm.
Step 3: Sketch The Hands

Draw Jerry’s hands as if he were running. Extend the lines for the arms, placing them in front, and create small ovals or circles at the end for the hands. Position the fingers as though Jerry were in motion, with both hands reaching forward, as shown in the image above.
Step 4: Create The Leg

As seen clearly in the picture, sketch an oval shape, adding circles for the fingers of the legs. Ensure it is pointing upward, almost touching the ear. Next, add details to the ears by drawing another oval shape inside them.
Step 5: Draw The Body Shape

From the side of the leg, sketch lines going upward toward the mouth. Connect these lines smoothly to define the body shape, making sure it looks clear, as shown in the image.
Step 6: Sketch Left Side Leg

As shown in the picture above, draw two parallel lines for each leg. Then, add an oval shape at the bottom of each leg to form the feet, with small shapes for the fingers. Connect the lines from the left to the right leg to make the legs look realistic, and complete this step.
Step 7: Add Facial Features

Now, draw a large oval shape for the eyes and add a circular shape for the pupils inside. Sketch it with your pencil to give it a natural look. Draw a small oval for the nose and an additional triangular shape to represent the mouth below the nose. Next, complete the step by drawing short, curved lines extending from each side of the nose for whiskers.
Step 8: Create Finger of Tom

First, draw Jerry’s tail, sketching two lines. Then, sketch two fingers, making them catch Jerry’s tail, as shown in the image. This process will simply complete the drawing process. If you are confused about any part, compare your sketch with the last picture shown and make it perfect.

Coloring Tom & Jerry Running
After sketching the character, we added some color to make it more fun. We used pencil colors for the coloring part; you can use any of your preferences. We recommend you use pencil colors.
Here, we have added the same color seen often in the television show: pink. We used pink in the inner parts of the ear. Then, we colored the inner sides of the legs and body parts with a lighter shade of brown, which somehow looked like cream. Next, we have used brown in the body parts, including the hands.
