Steps to Draw Lord Hanuman
You can find a brief description of today’s sketch in the picture below. This is designed for both beginners and experienced artists, so at the end of this guide, you will be able to draw perfectly without any mistakes. Follow the guide below one by one to draw Lord Hanuman step by step.
Step 1: Sketch Eye And Eyebrow
Since we are only focusing on the half side, we will begin by drawing the eye, which is slightly open. Sketch an oval shape for the eye, add eyelids, and add some outlining to make it look natural. Draw a thick, half-circle-shaped eyebrow on the upper side of the eye.
Step 2: Add Detail Facial Feature
Firstly, sketch a basic outline of the face from both sides. Next, draw a gently curved line to represent the nose. Below the nose, sketch an oval shape to resemble a monkey’s mouth. Within this area, also sketch the lips.
Step 3: Draw Beard
Just below the mouth of Hanuman, outline the shape of a beard as shown in the picture. Then, draw two thin lines on the top of the head to add jewellery later.
Step 4: Add Ear And Ornaments
Next, draw a simple oval or arc shape, which forms the outer edge of the ear. Add another oval shape inside of it to make it look realistic. Then, add an ornament in the ear, simply draw a round shape with a hook, and add a little detail to it as shown in the figure.
Step 5: Sketch Initial Crown Design
After that, draw the basic outline of the crown around the head, beginning at the forehead. Also, extend the base of the crown following the picture provided.
Step 6: Drawing Half Circle
Then in this step, just simply draw a half circle above the base of the crown that we added in step 5. We are drawing a mukut “crown” and this will be the base of mukut.
Step 7: Sketch The Hair
Next, draw the hair starting from the crown, making sure the hair looks flowing in the backside of his head. You can use a wavy line to add some texture to the hair.
Step 8: Final Touches and Refinements
Outline the circular aura around Hanuman’s head; make sure the circle is symmetrical and it looks dynamic.
Finally, we completed our drawing by adding the tip of the crown with various circular shapes, each differing in size to create visual interest. Then, draw a horizontal line across the crown to provide structure to the design.
