Step 1: Outline The Head

Start by sketching the outline of the character’s head, focusing on the unique hair shape shown in the picture.

Step 2: Add Detailed Hair

Add more details to the hair by adding the bangs, which should cover part of the face. Draw a few pointed, curved lines to create the hair strands, giving them a natural flow. Also, draw an ear behind the link’s hair.

Step 3: Draw The Upper Body And Belt

From just below the head, draw Link’s neck and create a V-shaped neckline for his shirt. Add a belt at the bottom of the shirt, including details like the buckle and belt loops.

Step 4: Sketch The Arms

Next, draw the left arm bent at the elbow. Then, the right hand should be pointing upward of the body to grip the shield handle later. Sketch the outer part of the character’s outfit here in this step.

Step 5: Draw a Sword

Sketch two long parallel lines for the edges. Add a horizontal guard, a vertical handle, and a round shape at the bottom, then include texture and shading for detail to make it look natural.

Step 6: Sketch a Shield

Then, draw a slightly curved rectangle for the shield and add a smaller, similar shape inside to create a border that will look like the character is holding it.

Step 7: Add Texture to the Shield

Add a line inside the rectangle for some texture. We have used basic texture to make it look neat and clean.

Step 8: Draw Lower Body And Shoes

Sketch the character’s leg, drawing two parallel lines on each side. Then, draw a shoe, ensuring it matches the upper body part, as shown in the picture.

Step 9: Add Eyes

Now, draw two oval shapes for the eyes. Inside each eye, sketch a smaller circle towards the top to represent the pupil. Outline the curve line just above the eyes for eyebrows.

Step 10: Complete By Adding Facial Feature

Finally, draw a tiny c shape to represent the nose, and just below it, draw a curved line for the smile. Now, we’ve successfully drawn the Link. Let’s proceed to the coloring step.

We’ve chosen some basic colors, but feel free to use colors according to your preference.

We chose to add green color to some parts of his hair and the outfit he is wearing. For another part of the hair, we used a cream color. Then, we used light blue color in the hands, on the leg, and inside the texture of the shield. A dark blue color has been used on the outside of the shield and for the sword. We have used brown color for the shoes. We have used brown and cream colors for the belt and completed the coloring process too.
