How To Draw Koala Step By Step

The koala or koala bear is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. In this tutorial, we are learning how you can draw a Koala.

Steps To Draw A Koala

Step 1: Draw Koala Head

Begin by drawing the head or face of the koala. Create a ‘C’ shaped circle as shown in the image above.

Step 2: Draw Koala Ears

Next, draw flat irregular-shaped ears as in the picture above. Continue by drawing the curvy shaped ears on both sides.

Step 3: Draw Koala Body

Now draw the back body and leg of the koala as in the image above. We are sketching a koala sleeping on the branch of the tree. So make a leg falling from the branch of the tree.

Step 4: Draw Koala Hand

Then, draw one hand closer to the leg of the koala like in the image above. Similarly, we need to make the hands lying down the tree branch.

Step 5: Draw a Branch Of a Tree

Finally, draw a branch of a tree, passing through the body of the koala as in the image above. We have drawn the hand and leg lying down the tree on earlier steps.

Step 6: Draw Kola Leg, Eyes, and Another Hand

Now, draw another hand, leg lying down the branch and eyes of the koala as shown in the image above. Sketch small curves for the eyes at the face of our cute koala.

Step 7: Draw Nose

After that draw the oval nose as shown in the image above and on the right side of the ear, add a small semi-circle for the inner part of the ear, and on the left side add a “D” shape inner part of ear as shown in the image above.

Step 8: Draw Leaves on the Branch

Finally, draw three leaves on branches where the koala is sleeping as in the image above. Our koala is sleeping on a branch of a tree. It looks so cute, isn’t it?

Coloring a Koala

After completing the koala drawing, it’s time to add color. We’ve selected some basic colors, but feel free to choose your own.

We colored the koala’s body grey, added pink to the ears, black to the nose, brown to the tree branch, and green to the leaves.

5. Pink

After coloring, we get a beautiful cute Koala. You can use a pencil color (we made it digital). Isn’t our koala cute, sleeping on the branches of the tree?
