Steps To Draw A Bunny
You can also follow our video tutorials. We aim to keep our tutorials simple and sweet. Check out the short demo in the image below. Follow the steps provided to easily draw a bunny step by step.
Step 1: Draw Rough Lines
We’ll begin by drawing a rough figure of the bunny. Use a pencil to create a preliminary sketch. Start by drawing a circle for the bunny’s head, an oval for the body, and another oval-shaped form for the legs with the tail at the back as shown in the image above.
Step 2: Outline Head
Now, outline the bunny head more accurately using the references of the rough lines as shown in the image above. Follow the rough lines and create an oval shape at one edge.
Step 3: Draw Bunny Ears
Next, draw two bunny ears attached to the head as shown in the image above. Ensure that one of the ears is long as rabbits typically have long ears.
Step 4: Outline Bunny Body
Similarly, draw the bunny body following the rough lines and creating an oval shape at one edge as shown in the image above.
Step 5: Draw Oval Hands
Now, draw the oval-shaped hands of the bunny at the center of the body as shown in the image above. Don’t forget to add small lines inside the hands to represent toes.
Step 6: Draw One Leg
Next, draw one leg of the bunny using the rough reference lines as a guide as shown in the image above. Include small lines inside the leg to represent toes.
Step 7: Draw Another Leg and Tail
Similarly, draw another leg of the bunny using the reference outline from Step 1 as shown in the image above. Don’t forget to add small lines inside the leg to represent toes. Also, include the bunny tail as depicted in the image.
Step 8: Erase Rough Lines
We have completed drawing the bunny outline. Now, erase the rough lines that were drawn in step one. Wow, we get a cleaner look now.
Step 9: Complete Bunny Ears
Now, draw an oval shape inside each of the bunny’s ears to complete the ears as shown in the image above.
Step 10: Draw Bunny Paw
Next, draw some circles and ovals inside the bunny’s legs to create the paws as shown in the image above. Additionally, draw the front part of the bunny’s body or belly by adding a curve that passes through the center of the body.
Step 11: Draw Bunny Eyes, Nose, and Mouth
For the finishing touches, complete the bunny’s face by drawing black circular eyes, a triangular nose, and a curved mouth as shown in the image above. With these final details, we have completed drawing a cute bunny. Now, let’s move forward to the coloring step.
Coloring a Bunny
After completing the drawing of the cute bunny, we will proceed with coloring. For coloring, we have chosen some basic colors.
Since bunnies are generally white and grey, we fill the bunny with grey color during coloring. Light pink or pink is used for the inside of the bunny’s ears and paws. To enhance its cuteness, a light grey color is applied inside the bunny’s body and in the lower mouth. Feel free to choose colors according to your preference.
Color Details:
- Grey
- Pink
- Light Grey
After coloring, we get a realistic bunny. You can use a pencil color (we made it digital).
