Steps To Draw Beach
Find today’s tutorial below, which provides a simple guide for drawing a beach vibe. By the end of the tutorial, you’ll have a well-sketched beach scene and a better understanding of drawing techniques. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Draw the Trunk of Palm Tree
Start by sketching two straight lines in the corner of the sketch paper for partition. Then, draw two curved parallel lines for the palm tree’s trunk, making the lines vertical and close together at the bottom.
Step 2: Add Cluster
As shown in the picture, draw four circles at the top of the trunk for the cluster. Attach the clusters. Then, add a double line to the trunk of the tree for details.
Step 3: Outline for the Leaves
To outline the plan leaves, draw five or six long, curved lines extending out from the circle. Refer to the picture above.
Step 4: Detail the Palm Leaves
Sketch individual leaflets along each curved line. The leaflets should be long, thin, and slightly curved. Also, add slightly more details to each leaf by adding lines to the side of it.
Step 5: Create The Beach Ball
Draw the circle at the side of the plan to almost touch the leaves. Add detailed lines within the circle for the ball to give it a three-dimensional appearance.
Step 6: Sketch The Line
As shown in the picture, draw a horizontal line on the back side where the sea meets the sky. This step will make our drawing of the beach more clear now.
Step 7: Add The Umbrella
On the left, draw several curved lines extending outside for the beach umbrella. These lines should spread outward, forming a semi-circular shape.
Step 8: Sketch Details In The Umbrella
Add a few double lines inside the umbrella for a realistic look. Then, add another line, just below the sea line, to create the beach.
Step 9: Sketch A Circle
Just below the umbrella, draw a bigger circle for the top of the table. The circle should be slightly tilted to give a three-dimensional perspective.
Step 10: Add Details
For the beach team, draw two vertical lines downward from the edges of the oval to represent the table legs.
Step 11: Sketch The Beach Towel
As given in the image on the side of the tree, draw a rectangular shape lying flat on the ground to represent a beach towel.
Step 12: Create the Details
Draw the wavy line inside the towel for a detailed look. This will give a clearer version of the beach scene we are making.
Step 13: Sketch The Stone
In this step, you can find shapes covering your paper. Sketch the shapes to represent big stones near the beach. The attached picture provides a clear vision.
Step 14: Draw a Hat
First, draw a circle. To complete the hat, add a larger, curved brim extending outward from the base of the circle.
Step 15: Add Small Details
Draw a small star representing a starfish preferred in this sand area near the beach ball. Make sure your drawing is perfect, which will complete our drawing process.
If you are interested in adding a touch of color, follow the guide below. Let’s enjoy coloring as well.
Coloring The Beach Scene
Coloring the sketch will clearly change its look and make it perfect. We have used some basic colors to give it a clear look.
First, we began the process by using a light blue color for the sky and a darker blue for the seas. We have used a green color for the ball, leaving two spaces white, as shown in the image. We have used dark green for the leaves of the palm tree, brown for the clusters, light brown for the trunk, and orange for the details of the trunk. The color cream has been used to represent the beach.
Then, we started coloring small details. We used red for the umbrella and light red for the inside details. Red and white are used for towels. We used brown for the table and yellow for the hat placed on it. We used a grey color for the stone. Finally, we completed the coloring process by adding purple for the starfish.
Color Details:
- Blue
- Light Blue
- Green
- Dark Green
- Light Brown
- Brown
- Orange

Finally, the process is complete, and the beach scene is ready with a touch of color. We simply put the summer with a clear sea, a beach ball, a towel, and the weekend vibe. For the coloring part, we have used pencil colors, but you can use any of your preferences to make it more fun. We recommend you use pencil colors.
Finally, Our Artwork is Complete
We have finished drawing and coloring the scenario for the beach. We hope you enjoyed every process with us.
