Steps To Draw a Valentine Bear
In this tutorial, we will draw a bear holding a Valentine Heart. Here you can see a short preview of today’s tutorial. Follow the detailed instructions below to draw a valentine bear step by step.
Step 1: Draw Rough Sketch Of Bear Head
Begin by sketching some preliminary outlines. Initially, draw a rough oval shape for the bear’s head, and within it, sketch another oval as depicted in the image above. Utilize a pencil for this stage as we’ll be erasing and refining these lines in subsequent steps.
Step 2: Draw More Rough Outlines Of Bear Body
Continuing from the head, sketch another large oval roughly for the bear’s body as depicted in the image above. Additionally, draw two ovals at the bottom of the bear’s body for the legs as shown in the picture. Use a pencil for this stage, as we will refine and adjust these lines in the next steps.
Step 3: Outline Head, Body & Legs
Now using all those rough lines as a guide, outline the head, body, and legs of the teddy bear as shown in the image above. Use a pen or marker for outlining.
Step 4: Outline Hands
Then proceed by drawing curves on both sides to create the cute little hands of the bear as illustrated in the figure above. Additionally, draw an oval inside the leg outlines to enhance the realistic appearance of the legs.
Step 5: Draw a Heart Holding By Bear
Now, in the space between the two hands, draw a heart shape as shown in the image above. This gives the appearance of our teddy bear holding a heart.
Step 6: Erase Rough Lines
Now, erase all the rough lines drawn in steps 1 and 2, as they were used as references. We drew these lines with a pencil and can be easily erased using an eraser.
Step 7: Sketch Ears
Now, let’s sketch cute ears by drawing two curves on both sides. Then, sketch smaller curves inside them as shown in the image above.
Step 8: Draw Eyes, Nose & Mouth
First, draw a straight line extending from the top of the bear’s head. Then, draw small curves for the bear’s eyes. After that, draw a circle to represent the teddy bear’s nose, and from the nose draw two curves for the bear’s mouth as shown in the image above.
Finally, we have completed our drawing of a bear, but since we are drawing a Valentine Bear, let’s write “I LUV U” inside the heart.
Coloring a Valentine Bear
After completing a valentine bear drawing, let’s proceed to add color. We’ve selected some basic colors, but feel free to choose colors as you like.
We colored the whole body of the bear brown and used light brown for the legs, face, and ears. Then, we colored the heart that the bear is holding in red.
