Step To Draw A Snail
You can follow the brief instructions with clear attached pictures to get complete drawings. Follow the guide below:
Step 1: Draw Circle
We will start by drawing a circle on the paper. You can also use a compass to make a perfect circle.
Step 2: Creating A Curve Look For The Body
Next, make a curve line from the circle for the outward part of the snail’s body. On the top of the head, draw a half-circle ideal outer edge for the eyes.
Step 3: Drawing Complete Body Outline With A Curve
From the circle drawn in Step 1, draw a large, flowing curve that starts from one side of the circle, extends outward, and then curls around to meet the bottom of the spiral shell. This shows the snail’s fleshy foot and gives the body a sense of movement and weight.
Draw a line from the circle, forming a smaller circle inside to show the shell’s structure perfectly.
Step 4: Add Ears
Add ears at the top of the head, making two triangle shapes that point upwards. Also, add a slightly rounded shape at the top of the triangle. Adding an inner line or shading inside gives it a more realistic vibe.
Remove the initial circle to make your drawing clear, leaving just the detail visible. Make sure the body part and the shell are shown clearly to start with the details.
Step 5: Drawing Eyes
Draw two circles at the top of the snail’s body for the eyes, two smaller circles, and the last circle should be filled up to look like eyes. While drawing eyes, add a little curve for the nose.
Step 6: Add Smile And Little Details On The Body
Next, create a curve line to make a friendly smile, looking like he wants to be friends with you. While adding a smile, add details to his body, which you can cover with tiny pores.
This will complete your drawing; if you want to add some colour, follow the steps below.
Coloring The Snail
After drawing the snail, we added some colours to make it more fun. We are adding a green color to the snail’s body. Then, we will colour the shell brown and use lighter shades of green for the spots on the body. We will use light blue for the eyes and pink for the smile. You can also choose colors according to your preferences.
Color Details:
- Brown
- Green
- Light Green
- Light Blue
- Pink
For the coloring part, we have used pencil colors; you can use your preferred one. We recommend you use pencil color to make it more natural and not mess up.
