Step 1: Draw Rough Outline

Start by sketching rough lines or reference lines. Draw a rectangle and triangle to create the outline of the house, leaving the upper part of the rectangle and the lower part of the triangle open as shown in the drawing above. Use a pencil for these initial sketches.

Next, sketch the window and door of the gingerbread house roughly following the image above. Use a pencil for these initial outlines, as they will be erased in later steps.

Now, use the reference lines from steps 1 and 2 to draw the house’s outline more precisely. Additionally, draw a curved border to create a candy cane stick decoration on the gingerbread house as depicted in the image above.

Colouring a Gingerbread House
