Steps To Draw Statue of Liberty
Here, you can see a short demo in the image below. Creating your rendition of the Statue of Liberty can be both enjoyable and fulfilling. Follow the detailed instructions to draw the Statue of Liberty perfectly. Both beginners and kids can easily draw it by following the steps given below.
Step 1: Draw the Base of the Statue
Start by sketching a simple trapezoid shape, ensuring that the right sideline is longer than the left one, as shown in the image above. This will form the base of the Statue of Liberty.
Step 2: Sketch the Lower Part of the Gown
Draw another trapezoid shape on top of the base, slightly narrower and with a wavy line at the bottom, this will represent the folds of the gown.
Step 3: Add the Upper Part of the Gown
Draw a smaller triangle-like shape above the lower part to complete the upper section of the gown. Then, simply add sleeves to it, where we will later draw the arms.
Step 4: Position The Arm
On the left side, draw a straight line extending upwards for the arm. This will be the arm holding the fire. From the picture above, make sure it is in the right place.
Step 5: Sketch The Shape of The Head
From the upper section of the gown, draw a line connecting upward, making V like shape in the center to represent the head of the statue. If you are confused by the guide, look at the picture given below for a better understanding.
Step 6: Draw The Book
On the right side, first, draw a rectangle for the book, and then just above it sketch an oval shape to represent the hand holding the book.
Step 7: Sketch an Oval Shape
Below the right hand holding the book, draw an oval shape to complete the gown without messing with the shape of the hand of the statue. This step is simply added to give a detailed look afterwards.
Step 8: Draw the Base of the Fire
Sketch a rectangular shape extending from the left hand, positioning it to look like the statue is holding it for the base of the fire. Add a small oval shape on the outer side, similar to the one we drew for holding the book, this will be the left hand of the statue.
Step 9: Complete Sketching The Fire
Now, draw the flames coming out, ensuring it looks like the statue is holding it. Use wavy and curved lines to make the fire look dynamic and realistic. This step will complete the process of drawing the fire.
Step 10: Sketch The Hair
Draw the hair starting from the head shape. Sketch curved lines that slightly go downward to represent the flowing hair.
Step 11: Draw The Outline Of The Crown
Just behind the hair, sketch a circle for the crown. This step will make it easier to complete the details of the crown.
Step 12: Details In The Crown
Inside the circle you drew for the crown, sketch three small triangles coming outward. This will give the crown its distinct, detailed appearance.
Step 13: Complete Drawing The Crown Details
Following the same step above, draw several small triangles coming outward. This will complete the details look of the crown of the statue.
Step 14: Add Facial Features
For facial features, draw a curved line to represent the mouth. Just above it, draw an L-shaped line for the nose. For the eyes, sketch two circles and shade them in black.
Step 15: Complete By Adding Details
Finish by adding shading and details to the gown. Draw lines at the bottom of the gown to represent its fold.
