Steps To Draw Spongebob Squarepants With Skateboard
Today’s tutorial provides a simple guide to drawing Spongebob With Skateboard. Following the outlined steps, you will learn to draw a Spongebob perfectly. Here we have a short preview of today’s tutorial. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Sketch The Hat
First, to begin our drawing, we shall start with the hat, as shown in the picture. Place a hat in the centre of the paper, folding it at the bottom and curving it at the top.
Step 2: Add the Goggles and Face Outline
Continue drawing the goggles from the side of the hat. Sketch two oval-like shapes and connect them to the backside to give it a natural look. Then, sketch zigzag lines downward from both sides of the goggles to represent the character’s face.
Step 3: Draw the Arms
Sketch the parallel lines for the arms extending outside. Then, draw the shape of the finger by drawing slightly oval shapes, making sure the fingers are spread outside, as shown in the picture above.
Step 4: Create The Body and Tie
For the body, draw a small rectangular shape and another line inside it to divide it and give it a natural look, as shown in the picture. Next, add a triangular shape in the middle for Spongebob’s iconic tie. To give details, draw three tiny triangular shapes on the upper side, and with that, you will finish this step.
Step 5: Draw The Legs
Draw two lines extending outside, where one is slightly raised, to add a skateboard later downward. While sketching the leg, outline the shoe in a circular shape.
Step 6: Add The Skateboard
Sketch an elongated oval shape under SpongeBob’s feet for the skateboard’s deck. The deck should be wider where the feet are positioned and taper slightly towards the ends. Next, add a wavy or abstract pattern inside to give the skateboard some character, as shown in the image.
Step 7: Sketch The Mouth
Now, draw a wide, curved line to create the upper outline of SpongeBob’s mouth. Then, outline a smaller, parallel, curved line below the first to form the mouth’s bottom. Make sure you have created a smiling expression.
Then, draw two tiny rectangular shapes on the upper side of the mouth to represent the teeth, followed by a w-shape for the tongue within. Further, to complete this step, sketch the nose above the mouth as given in the image.
Step 8: Draw The Eyes
Inside the goggles, draw two round shapes at a certain distance for the eyes; inside it, draw another circle, and the third one to make the pupils. The third circle needed to be shaded for a natural look.
Step 9: Add Texture
To complete our drawing, we have added some texture to the body of the character with tiny circles, and we have also added texture to the hat. Ensure you have done every step correctly by taking a look at the picture.
This will finally complete our drawing process. Again, if you are interested in adding a touch of color, follow the guide below. Let’s enjoy coloring as well.

We have used the same color as the characters we often see online. You can color him according to your choice too.
We started using yellow throughout the body, including the hands and legs. Then, red was used in the tie, the hat, and the outer part of the skateboard. For goggles, we used blue and green for the sleeves of the character’s shirt. For the pants, you can see we used brown.
We have used a maroon color for the mouth and a baby pink color for the tongue. Finally, we have used a light shade of green for the skateboards, and a blue color has been used for the texture. We complete our coloring process by adding black color to the shoes.
