Steps To Draw Raksha Bandhan
You can find the short demo in the picture given below. The picture will provide you with a clear idea of today’s drawing. Follow the steps below to easily draw a Raksha Bandhan scene.
Step 1: Sketch The Arm
Start by drawing two vertical lines to form the basic structure of the arm. Then, at the bottom, add a rectangular shape to indicate where the sleeve will be.
Step 2: Draw The Fingers
Begin by sketching the index finger with an oval shape attached to the top of the palm, and then add the remaining fingers, excluding the thumb.
Step 3: Finish Sketching the Hand by Adding the Thumb
Draw a curved oval for the base of the thumb, making sure it sticks out a bit from the side of the palm. This will be the hand where the rakhi will be attached.
Step 4: Sketch The Right Hand
On the right side, sketch a smaller outline for the palm, making it wider at the bottom and narrower at the top. Then, draw the index finger slightly bent, as if it’s preparing to tie a rakhi.
Step 5: Add Thumb
Draw a curved oval shape on the side of the palm to create the thumb. Make sure it extends from the side and aligns naturally with the hand’s position as given in the picture.
Step 6: Draw The Left Side Hand Tying Rakhi
Following the same step to draw the right-hand index finger, position the index finger slightly bent, as if it’s preparing to tie the rakhi.
Step 7: Add the Thumb of The Left Hand
Draw a curved oval shape on the side of the left palm to create the thumb, as we placed it on the the right side of the hand.
Step 8: Position Fingers
Draw the middle finger next to the index finger by sketching a straight line, parallel to it. Ensure it aligns with the index finger’s base. Next, add the other two fingers (ring finger and little finger) for both hands, drawing them in a natural, slightly curved position. Adjust the lines to make the fingers look realistic and complete the drawing of the hand tying the rakhi.
Step 9: Add Bangles to Right Hand
Sketch several curved lines around the wrist of the right hand to represent bangles. Make sure the lines are evenly spaced and follow the curve of the wrist to create a natural, layered look.
Step 10: Add Bangles to Left Hand
Following the same steps while drawing bangles with the right hand, add two bangles on the left hand. It will complete the look of the sister’s hand.
Step 11: Sketch The Outline of Rakhi
Begin by drawing a central shape on the wrist to represent the base of the rakhi. Add another circle around it, and then include patterns within the circles.
Step 12: Complete With The Details of Rakhi
Add the rakhi’s rope, drawing it as it wraps around the wrist. Include extra decorative patterns, beads, and a small triangle on the rakhi to give it a finished appearance. Make sure these details complement the central shape and overall design of the rakhi.
This will finally complete our drawing process. Before moving on to coloring, erase any unnecessary lines and tidy up the drawing to make it clean.
