Steps To Draw Pomni
Please refer to the attached image for a brief demonstration. It will provide a clear overview of today’s topic.
Follow the detailed instructions to draw Pomni perfectly. By following the step-by-step instructions provided, you can easily create a beautiful Pomni.
Step 1: Draw The Eyes
Begin by drawing two rounded shapes that overlap each other. These shapes will form the basis for the eyes.
Step 2: Sketch The Head And Front Part Of The Hat
Draw a rounded shape for the head, starting from the side of the eyes. At the top of the head, sketch two lines positioned on the left and right sides to help guide the placement of the hat. Then, draw two rectangular-like shapes above the head to represent the front part of the hair.
Step 3: Position The Sleeve of The Character Outfit
To enhance the outfit, draw an oval shape extending outward from both the left and right sides, overlapping the hat to represent the arms and sleeves. This detail is essential for making the entire outfit look complete and well-designed.
Step 4: Draw The Upper Part of The Outfit
Position a leaf-like shape below the head to represent the upper part of the outfit. This shape will help define the garment and give it a distinctive look.
Step 5: Add Collar And Details
On the upper part of the outfit, sketch a collar similar to that of a shirt. Next, draw a vertical line and then add buttons along this line to complete the look.
Step 6: Sketch Left Hand
Draw the left hand extending from the sleeve, and add gloves to it. Make sure the gloves follow the shape of the finger to make it look natural as shown in the picture above.
Step 7: Add The Right Hand
Draw the right hand in the same way as the left hand, making sure it is the same size and positioned similarly as in the image.
Step 8: Position The Left Button
From the side of the upper outfit, first sketch a “C” shape to represent the button’s base. Next, draw a circle shape overlapping this “C” shape. Finally, add an oval shape to complete the button design.
Step 9: Complete The Button Design
On the right side of the button design, draw a similar set of shapes. Ensure the button looks balanced and complete.
Step 10: Draw The Left Leg
From the bottom of the outfit, sketch two straight lines to represent the leg. Since the character is wearing boots, shape the legs accordingly with a boot-like form. The boots should be slightly wider at the top and taper towards the ankle.
Step 11: Sketch The Right Leg
Follow the same process as for the left leg: draw two straight lines downward from the bottom of the outfit to represent the right leg. Then, add the shape of the boot for a complete look.
Step 12: Draw the Upper Part of the Hat
For the hat, add long extensions that hang down from the top. Draw small balls or pom-poms at the ends of these extensions to give the hat a decorative look.
Step 13: Sketch Details of The Hat
From the sides of the long extensions, add slight lines along the edges of the hat. These lines will help complete the look by giving the hat more texture and definition.
Step 14: Add Texture to the Outfit
Add texture to the sleeves and buttons by drawing parallel lines. These lines should follow the curves and folds of the fabric to give the outfit a realistic, textured appearance. This process will later help us add different colors to it.
Step 15: Draw Facial Features
Inside the oval of each eye, draw two small circles to represent the pupils and add details to them. Just below the eyes, draw two half-circles for the cheeks. For the mouth, sketch a curved line to complete the facial expression.
If you notice any mistakes or rough lines in your drawing, erase them carefully to clean up the image and improve its overall appearance. This will finally complete our drawing, and now let’s move it to the coloring process.
Coloring The Pomni
The coloring process will be enjoyable for kids, allowing them to bring their creativity and learn more about vibrant colors and their unique touch to the drawing.
We started the process by using blue and red colors. Blue is applied to half of the character’s outfit, including sections of the upper body and sleeves. Red is used for the remaining half of the outfit. Yellow is used for the pom-poms on the hat, as well as the outer part of the hat.
Additionally, yellow is applied to the outer parts of the boots, the outer part of the sleeves, the button, and the outer part of the pants. You can also use the picture given below to color your drawing.
