Steps To Draw Grinch
You can either follow our YouTube tutorial or proceed with the step-by-step instructions below. Here’s a brief preview of today’s tutorial.
Step 1: Draw Grinch Face Outline
Begin by sketching a curved structure just like the one in the image above. This will form the framework for the Grinch’s face. Make sure to draw a pointed chin, and keep it wide.
Step 2: Draw Santa Hat
Now, create the lower part of the Santa hat with a rounded, cloud-like shape as in the picture above.
Step 3: Draw Crown of Grinch Hat
Next, draw the upper part of the Grinch’s hat as in the image above. Continue sketching the curve lines from the cloud part of the hat.
Step 4: Draw Circular Brim
Then, draw a circular brim at the end of the hat to finish the Grinch’s hat just as depicted in the image above. Additionally, draw the Grinch’s neck as shown in the image.
Step 5: Draw a Furry Neck Jacket
Now, sketch the jacket’s neck in the shape of a cloud as in the image above. Start from the neck and sketch a wavy cloud around the neck.
Step 6: Draw Ears and Shoulder
Now, draw the Grinch’s shoulders and ears just as depicted in the image above. From the wavy cloud jacket’s neck, sketch the shoulder and three triangular shapes for the ears.
Step 7: Draw Angry Eyes
Next, let’s focus on drawing the Grinch’s face. Begin by drawing the Grinch eyes as in the image above. While drawing make an angry face of a Grinch.
Step 8: Draw Grinch’s Smile

Coloring a Grinch
We’ve selected some basic colors for coloring, but feel free to choose colors as you like.
We used lime for the Grinch’s skin and red for the Grinch’s hat. Then, we colored the nose and eyebrows of the Grinch in black.
