Steps To Draw An Owl
You can follow our video tutorial or the guide below. Here is a short preview of today’s tutorial in the image below. Follow the steps to easily draw a small owl step by step.
Step 1: Draw Round Nose Shape
Draw a nose like structure open at the top as shown in the image above. This forms the face of the owl.
Step 2: Draw Pointed Ears
Next, draw the owl pointed ears and some facial structure as shown in the picture above. Continue from the owl face, sketch a line to form the ears and add two curve lines for owl facial structure.
Step 3: Draw Pointed Wings
Now, draw two curved owl wings parallel to each other as shown in the image above. Start sketching the curved lines from the head to form the wings.
Step 4: Draw Feet
Similarly, draw the feet of the owl as shown in the image above. Just join the lines in between the wings. Then, draw an oval pointed foot and connect it by forming the body of the owl.
Step 5: Draw Owl Belly
Next, draw a circle to create the owl belly or body, and retrace the outline to sketch the face part of the owl as shown in the image above.
Step 6: Draw Owl Eyes
Draw a small circle to create the owl eyes, and make a bold circle inside of it to form the eyeballs as shown in the image above.
Step 7: Draw Nose and Feathers
To finish, draw a small cute nose for the owl and add some feather texture to the owl’s body as shown in the image above. Finally, we have a cute owl facing at the front.
Coloring an Owl
After completing the drawing of the owl, let’s proceed with coloring. We have selected some basic colors, but feel free to choose colors according to your preference as well.
We colored the feathers and body of the owl in brown. The face and belly of the owl were colored with a skin tone, and we used a light orange color for the feet and nose of the owl.
Colour Details:
- Brown
- Skin
- Light Orange
