Steps To Draw a Scary Witch
Every year Halloween is celebrated on October 31. We are drawing a witch for Halloween, so it looks so scary. Our Halloween witch is tall, thin, and green-skinned, wearing a pointy hat and flying a broomstick.
You can get a quick preview in the image below, and then dive into the detailed, step-by-step instructions provided.
Step 1: Outline a Witch Hat
Let’s begin by sketching a witch hat. Start by drawing a trapezoidal shape for the brim of the hat. To do this, first, draw two lines, one shorter than the other, and connect both.
Step 2: Complete Witch Hat
Next, draw the pointed crown of the hat. Extend two lines from the ends of the line you previously drew and connect them to form a pointed end.
Step 3: Drawing a Witch Eyes & Nose
Now, draw two circular eyes and a pointed nose for the witch. It must look scary as we are drawing for Halloween.
Step 4: Drawing a Witch Chin
Next, create a playful, smiling mouth of the witch with a small tongue inside as depicted in the figure above. Additionally, draw a pointed chin too to make it more scarier.
Step 5: Draw Witch Hair
Now, sketch the witch’s pointed hair. Here we are drawing a curved line and giving a feather line shape to the hair of the witch.
Step 6: Drawing a Witch Body
Afterwards, draw a curved line to form the witch curved body. Next, draw two hands of the witch. Here we draw a rectangular shape to represent one of the witch arms.
Step 7: Drawing a Broom Stick
Since we’re drawing a Halloween witch who is flying, let’s include a long, rectangular broom. Additionally, draw a hand reaching out to grasp the broomstick.
Step 8: Complete Witch Body
Next, draw the witch legs after completing the body and additionally, sketch the witch pointed and scary shoes. Wow, we are having a lot of fun as our witch is coming into our lives.
Step 9: Draw a Broom Head
Now draw a broom head as in the image above. First, complete the stick of the broom and the draw curve from two points of the stick for drawing a broom head. Also, draw some lines to give texture to the broom as in the image above. Finally, we drew a witch on a broom flying in the sky.
Step 10: Complete Eye & Hat Band
For a final touch, draw a band around the witch hat as in the image above. Then, add a dot inside the eyes to complete the witch eyes.
Coloring a Witch
Once the cute witch drawing is finished, we can proceed with coloring. We’ve selected some basic colors for this step. We’ve used seven distinct colors to bring our cute witch to life in this drawing.
A light green shade has been used for the witch’s face and hands, giving her a mystical complexion. Her hat and dress have been colored a regal purple, while the broomstick and its band are adorned in earthy brown tones. We’ve added a splash of yellow to the broom head and the hat’s logo for a touch of whimsy.
The witch’s hair and her band are elegantly shaded in grey, providing contrast to her colorful attire. The mouth has been colored in a rich dark red, and a bright red hue completes the small tongue.
You can fill the color according to your wish too.
