Steps To Draw A Swan
Here, we briefly preview today’s tutorial in the image below. Follow along with us for a detailed step by step guide for drawing a swan.
Step 1: Outline Long Neck
Let’s begin by sketching the neck of the swan. Since swans are known for their long necks, draw a curved line to outline a swan neck as demonstrated in the image above.
Step 2: Complete Swan Neck
Now, continuing, complete the swan neck, and extend the line to outline the swan’s body as shown in the picture above.
Step 3: Draw Swan Wings
Now, we need to create swan wings, so draw pointed edge lines from the neck to sketch the wing as shown in the image above.
Step 4: Complete Wing
The wings consist of feathers; now, draw a feather structure by adding curves to create a large wing as shown in the image above.
Step 5: Draw Swan Tail and Wings
Now, complete the swan body by drawing the swan pointed tail and back wings as shown in the image above.
Step 6: Draw Eye And Bill
Now, draw a small circle for the swan’s eye and sketch a triangular bill to complete the drawing of the swan as shown in the picture above. Lastly, sketch some curves on the wings to give a more realistic look to our swan. Finally, we have drawn a cute and beautiful swan in just 6 steps.
Coloring a Swan
After completing the drawing of the swan, we can proceed to color it. For coloring, we have chosen some basic colors. Feel free to fill in the colors according to your preference.
We use a yellow color for the bill of our swan and leave all our drawings as it is as swans are naturally white.
