Steps To Draw A Strawberry
You can either follow the video tutorial or the written guide provided. Here’s a quick preview of today’s lesson. Follow the steps below to draw a strawberry.
Step1: Draw Rough Triangle
Begin by sketching an approximate triangle shape as shown in the image above. You can use a small scale or a ruler for accuracy. In this initial stage, use a pencil for the rough outline, so that it will be easy to erase in the next steps.
Step 2: Draw a Triangular Oval Shape
Next, outline the body of the strawberry by drawing a somewhat triangular oval shape, using the reference lines from the initial step as a guide. For this part, you can use a black marker to make it more distinct and defined.
Step 3: Drawing Calyx
Now, let’s work on the lower part of the strawberry calyx. Begin by drawing a curved line at the top of the strawberry’s head, or the top of the triangle. In the middle of this curved line, create a zig-zag pattern, facing downward as shown in the image above.
Step 4: Drawing Calyx And Stem
Similarly, now again draw Zig-Zag lines for the upper part of the calyx of the strawberry and again draw two lines and join them to make a stem of the strawberry as in the image above.
Step 5: Erase Rough Lines
Now, carefully erase all the rough lines that you sketched in the initial step. This will leave you with a clean and clear outline of strawberry.
Step 6: Drawing Seeds
Finally, add the seeds or pits to your strawberry. Feel free to draw as many seeds as you’d like, placing them across the surface of the strawberry to give it a realistic appearance.
Colouring a Strawberry
Once you’ve finished drawing the cute strawberry, it’s time to add some color to make it look even more delicious and juicy.
You can add color to your strawberry by using red for the strawberry body, green for the calyx, and orange for the seeds. However, feel free to use any colors you prefer to make your strawberry uniquely yours. Coloring is a fun way to bring your drawing to life!
