Steps To Draw A Minion
Find a quick preview of today’s drawing steps in the image below. At the end of this guide, you can draw perfectly without any mistakes. Follow the steps below one by one to draw a minion.
Step 1: Draw The Body
Outline a large oval body in the centre of your paper, as shown in the picture. This will help us to improve the procedure. We are using a pencil to draw the rough references part, so that we could erase it on the further steps.
Step 2: Outline The Legs
Following the rough line we created above, sketch two large, shoe-like shapes for the legs at the bottom of the body. We are using a black marker to sketch this fair part, you could use a pen or a black marker to outline the fair part.
Step 3: Sketch The Arms And Gloves
Now, draw curved lines for the arms extending backwards, as shown in the image. Then, for gloves, add oval shapes at the ends of the arms where the hands would be, and then add some primary lines to indicate the fingers.
Step 4: Draw The Shoes
Next, outline the rounded shoes below the leg, ensuring they are in the correct position. Consider the details shown in the image to give it a natural appearance.
Step 5: Sketch Minion’s Outfit
Now, start by drawing two curved lines across the body to represent the overall outfit. Then, outline two straps from each side, adding buttons-like details. Add another two straps on each side of the body, connecting the outfit. If you are confused about any step, follow the picture given above.
Step 6: Create Goggles
Then, draw an elongated oval for the goggles. Inside the oval, sketch a smaller oval for details. Draw a curving line across the goggles to represent the strap.
Step 7: Remove Extra Outlines
Now erase all the rough or any unnecessary outlines that we drew earlier, carefully review your minion sketch and erase any lines that aren’t part of the final artwork.
Step 8: Draw Facial Features
Finally, draw two large circles above the goggles for the eyes. Add the smaller circle inside to make pupils. Then, add a few small lines on the minion’s head to represent the hair spikes. Complete the sketching process by adding the curved lines below the eyes to form the minion’s smile.
