A jug is a common container for holding liquids. It has an opening, sometimes narrow, for pouring or drinking, a handle, and often a pouring spout. In this tutorial learn how you can draw a jug.

Steps To Draw A Jug

Step 1: Draw a Jug Lower Part
Start by drawing an oval shape to form the lower part of the jug as shown in the figure above.
Step 2: Draw a Jug Lid
Continue by drawing the lid part of the jug as shown in the picture above. Now we can see our jug outline is ready.
Step 3: Draw a Jug Base
Now draw the base of the jug as in the image above. Just add a curve line starting from one end to another end at the bottom of the jug.
Step 4: Draw a Jug Handle
Likewise, draw the handle on the right side following the example in the image above. At first, start drawing a curved line in between the jug body and double line ti to make a handle.
Step 5: Sketch Decorative Lines
Now, add two curved lines at the bottom of the jug for decoration as in the image above. Here we already made a jug but to make it more realistic we are going to add some decorations and texture to our jug.
Step 6: Draw Flowers
Now, we’re going to create some small flowers within those curves just like in the image above. Draw a small circle and sketch flower petals around the circle.
Step 7: Draw Texture
Finally, add some lines to create a texture as shown in the image above to give a finishing touch to our jug.
Colouring a Jug
Once the jug drawing is complete, we can proceed with coloring the jug. We’ve selected basic colors for this, and you can also choose colors as you wish to fill it.
We have colored light blue on the body of the jug and yellow on the flowers. And on a decorative strip, we have colored light pink.

After coloring, we get a beautiful jug. You can use a pencil color (we made it digital).
