Steps To Draw A Ghost
We provide both a video tutorial and written instructions for drawing a scary Halloween ghost. You can preview today’s tutorial below and follow the steps to create your spooky ghost.
Step 1: Draw Rough Outlines
Begin by drawing a circle roughly for the face of the ghost, then add an oval-like shape to the left side of the circle to draw an elongated head. For the body, draw an oval-like shape, and for the ghost’s hands, sketch triangle-like shapes. Finally, add a small triangle-like shape for the tail of the ghost. Use a pencil to draw the rough lines as we will erase them on further steps.
Step 2: Draw Head Outline
Next, carefully trace the outline of the ghost’s head using the reference lines we created in Step 1 as a guide. Use a pen or marker to create a clean and precise outline.
Step 3: Draw Ghost Hands
Likewise, for the hand, sketch the outline following the reference lines established earlier as shown in the image above. Additionally, draw a zigzag pattern on the lower side of the ghost’s hands.
Step 4: Draw The Body & Tail Of Ghost
After that, draw the shape of the ghost’s body and tail by following the lines we drew earlier in the image. Create a curved tail at the back as in the drawing above.
Step 5: Erase All Rough Lines
Now, erase all the rough lines from Step 1. These rough lines are just for guidance.
Step 6: Draw Eye, Eyebrow & Mouth
To complete the cute ghost, draw its eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. Sketch big scary eyes with a silly smiley face as in the image above. Congratulations, we have drawn the adorable ghost in just six steps!
Coloring a Ghost
Once the scary ghost drawing is finished, it’s time to proceed with coloring. We’ve suggested some basic colors, but feel free to use any colors you prefer to fill.
We have filled black to eyes and left the remaining.
