Steps To Draw A Dog
Here we have a short preview of our tutorial in the image below. Follow the steps below to easily draw a dog step by step.
Step 1: Draw an Oval
Let’s begin by drawing the dog’s face. Draw an oval shape as shown in the image above. Here we are using a marker to sketch the outline.
Step 2: Draw Dog Head
Afterwards, sketch a curved line or an inverted “U” touching the oval from step 1 as depicted in the image above. We have outlined the face of our cute dog.
Step 3: Draw Dog Body
In this step, we will outline the dog’s body. Begin by drawing a curved line extending from the dog’s face to form the body. And don’t forget to place the gap in the center for the front legs of the dog.
Step 4: Draw Dog Legs
In this step, sketch the dog’s legs. Start by drawing a small curve on each side to depict the dog’s hind paws facing forward. Then, draw two legs at the center of the body where gaps were left for the legs as shown in the image above.
Step 5: Draw Dog Ears & Tail
Next, draw two curved ears and a cylindrical pointed tail following the guidance in the image above.
Step 6: Draw Dog Face
Now, create the dog’s eyes by drawing two dots and also sketch small two curves for the eyebrows of the dog. Add a curved line to form the nose, and then draw two curved lines from the nose to shape the dog’s mouth as shown in the image above.
Coloring a Dog
Once you’ve finished drawing the cute small dog, proceed to the next step of coloring. We’ve selected some basic colors for guidance, but feel free to choose colors according to your preference.
Use brown as the primary color for the dog’s body, apply light yellow to the mouth, and use dark red for the ears following the image below.
