Steps To Draw A Carrot
We also have video tutorials available, so you can either choose to watch or follow the tutorial below. Here is a short preview of today’s tutorial. Let’s proceed with the step-by-step instructions for drawing a carrot.
Step 1: Drawing a Carrot Outline
Begin by outlining the outer shape of the carrot, keeping the lower button part narrow and the upper part wider just like in the image above.
Step 2: Drawing a Petioles
Now, draw the carrot’s petioles as shown in the picture. We won’t be drawing carrot leaves, so create a rectangular shape for the petioles.
Step 3: Drawing a More Petioles
Similarly, add more petioles of carrot as in the image above. Again, create a rectangular shape for the petioles.
Step 4: Draw Lateral Roots Scar
Finally, draw a small line inside the taproots to create lateral root scars similar to the image above. We’ve successfully drawn a carrot in just four easy steps.
Coloring a Carrot
Once the carrot drawing is done, it’s time to add some color. We’ve selected basic colors for this step. You can fill the color according to our wish too.
We color the carrot’s body in orange, as carrots are typically orange. The petioles are filled with green as shown in the image below.
Color Details:
- Orange
- Green
After coloring, we get a realistic carrot. You can use a pencil color (we made it digital).
