Steps To Draw Cat In The Hand
Here we have the brief instructions for today’s tutorial and attached pictures to complete your sketching in an easy process. Follow the steps given to draw a cat in the hand and by the end of this tutorial, you will learn to draw it perfectly.
Step 1: Draw a Circle
Begin by drawing a rough circle in the centre of the paper. You can use a compass for a better outline. We are using a pencil to draw these initial rough sketches.
Step 2: Outline the Bottom of the Hat
Within the circle, draw a curved brim to represent the bottom part of the hat. This will later help us to completely sketch the shape of the hat.
Step 3: Sketch The Shape of The Face
Now, using the rough lines let’s draw a half-circle to make the face of the character. Then, complete with a curved line to represent the mouth as shown in the image above.
Step 4: Draw The Hair
Then, draw the hair on the back side of the head using the rough line, right below the bottom of the cap. Make the hair look like it is coming out of the hat.
Step 5: Sketch The Hat
Next, draw a tall, slightly curved shape with a wavy brim just above the cat’s head, as given in the picture. Make it look natural and dynamic.
Step 6: Draw The Neck
Sketch two curved lines from both sides of the head extending downward to represent the neck of the cat.
Step 7: Create a Bow
Below the neck, add two large loops on either side, making them symmetrical and slightly curved. Next, draw the central knot where the loops meet, and add two straight or slightly curved ends hanging down from the knot. Then, refine the edges and add crease lines to make the bowtie more realistic.
Step 8: Draw Ears And Detail The Hat
Sketch the triangular shape on the left side of the head to represent the ear. Add a line inside of it to refine the ear. Then, draw evenly spaced horizontal stripes, curving them slightly to follow the hat’s shape. Refind the lines to give it a natural look.
Step 9: Remove The Rough Lines
Erase all the extra lines from the drawing carefully to make it look neat. This will help us add a few details easily.
Step 10: Add Facial Features
After that, draw a round shape for the eyes and position it exactly as shown in the image. Then, inside it, draw another circle for the pupils. Next, create a triangle shape below the eyes for the nose. Add whiskers as you draw tapered lines that extend from the cheeks.
Step 11: Add Texture Details
Finally, sketch short lines to indicate fur texture on the face and neck, as shown in the image above. This will finally complete our drawing process.
